Apr 25 Thursday
New this year, in place of the Lobster Run we are excited to invite you to our first annual Lobster Ball. At the Lobster Ball, party goers can still support the Littoral Society’s coastal conservation work while dancing the night away. Held at Whitechapel Projects in Long Branch, NJ, the event will feature food, drinks, marine animal costume contest, face painting, and a live band, in addition to short informational talks with Littoral Society staff. Throw on your sea creature-themed costume and swim on over, we look forward to sharing a night of fun, fins and fluke.

On Sunday, April 28th, Musicians on a Mission will host the MONEY, CASH, and DOUGH - OPEN MIC & FOOD DRIVE at the Belmar Arts Center.
Guest hosts will be Kevin Spyker & Jen Clemens.
Kevin and Jen have chosen a great theme “Money, Cash and Dough” for this month’s open mic, which means you should do at least TWO songs that have to do with the theme, plus one more song (cover or original). This means that you will sing at least two songs that have to do with money. We'd love to hear someone tackle, Money Changes Everything by Cyndi Lauper or the Flying Lizards’ version of Money (That’s What I Want). Maybe try, Silver Threads and Golden Needles or Material Girl or Take the Money and Run by the Steve Miller Band. You decide on three good songs and we'll listen. Just keep it at 12 minutes or under! There will be a grand finale song, “Heart of Gold” by the Neil Young for everyone to share at the end of the event. Video with lyrics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFQ1NV3deIE
Support for other performers is a priority for MOAM, so please show up early and stay late to sing the finale with everyone.
Admission is $5 donation at the door or $3 with two non-perishable food donations. Proceeds to benefit FULFILL – the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties and the Belmar Arts Center. http:/fulfillnj.org/ https://www.belmararts.org/
Sign-ups for this event will be done online. The link for the sign-up will be posted on the Musicians on a Mission Facebook event page a week before the open mic. Be on the lookout for it! https://www.facebook.com/musiciansonamission
You do NOT need to be a member of MOAM to sign up for this open mic. However, we offer sign-ups online to our MOAM members first. If you would like to become a MOAM member, go to: www.musiciansonamission.org to sign up. It’s only $20 a year and you would be helping MOAM make a difference through music.
Hot coffee, water and a farm fresh brunch will be available for a minimal charge at the show or bring something for yourself.
