The New Jersey Department of Children and Families (NJ DCF) announced that the Family Connects NJ program (FCNJ) – the state’s Universal Nurse Home Visiting program – has been expanded to support more families welcoming home a newborn in six new counties. The service is now available in all of South Jersey, and most of Central and North Jersey, with program rollout on track to reach statewide implementation next year.

The New Jersey Legislature approved a bill (A6313/S5034) backed by Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) establishing a pilot program to preserve critical hospital services at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch. The legislation now heads to Governor Murphy’s desk for final approval.
