The 2024 Veteran’s Music Festival, an all-day festival with live music, food and refreshments, will be held on November 9th, 2024, from 1PM - 8PM, at D'Jais Bar, at 1801 Ocean Avenue in Belmar, New Jersey. The event is hosted by the New Jersey State Veterans Chamber of Commerce (NJSVCC), and sponsored by the Veterans Foundation of America, Horizon NJ Health and Band Together for Veterans, among others. It is an opportunity for all people to absorb the November air at the shore, listen to some great music and honor and celebrate the sacrifices of all those who have served. Tickets are $20 at the door and Veterans and Active Duty service members get in free.
All proceeds raised by the music fest will go toward supporting outdoor therapy programs, including fishing and equine therapy. The Cowboy Therapy Program flies veterans affected with PTSD out to Montana where they will work on a ranch moving cattle from different pastures, and helping the ranch owners with all ranch activities. They will learn how to ride, how to rope, and will also develop horse riding skills to help them round up the cattle. The veterans will also go fly fishing in some of the picturesque rivers in Montana helping them unwind and experience closeness with nature.
