Globally, the average distance a person has to travel to get potable water is 3.5 miles. Join us as we walk up to 3.5 miles to raise awareness about the importance of access to the sacred, life-giving element of water.
We will walk starting a 9am at Hartshorne Park's Battery Loop (1402 Portland Rd. Highlands, NJ 07732). We will meet in the parking lot area with bagels and coffee and then walk 2 loops. Join Waterspirit for the full 3.5 miles (2 loops) walk or come join for as long as you can! Each loop should take about 45 minutes.
Can't join Waterspirit on June 8? Sign up and walk on your own or create your own team of walkers and walk ANYWHERE and ANYTIME for water.
Set your goal, share your progress with your friends & family, and celebrate the spring by getting outside for a good cause! Your team of supporters can use your special link to donate as you walk. Don't forget to tag #WaterspiritWalkForWater when you share this event on social media!
All proceeds from the Walk for Water will benefit Waterspirit. Thank you for supporting our eco-spiritual programming and clean water advocacy by participating in this fundraiser. Learn more about Waterspirit at http://www.waterspirit.org .

The spectacular sculptures and paintings of Michelangelo seem so familiar to us, but what do we really know about this Renaissance giant? Michelangelo’s genius is evident in everything he touched. Beautiful and diverse works such as the towering statue of David, the moving Pietà in the Papal Basilica of St. Peter and his tour-de-force, the Sistine Chapel ceiling, still leave us breathless today.
Spanning his 88 years, Michelangelo – Love and Death takes a cinematic journey through the print and drawing rooms of Europe through the great chapels and museums of Florence, Rome and the Vatican to seek out a deeper understanding of this legendary figure’s tempestuous life, his relationship with his contemporaries and his incredible legacy.
Through expert commentary, stunning visuals and Michelangelo’s own words, this film takes a fresh look at a master artist whose life and genius are celebrated in every mark he made. Returning to cinemas in 2025 to celebrate this iconic artist’s 550th birthday.
Sculptor, painter, architect, poet, genius – discover why Michelangelo is without a doubt one of the greatest artists of all time.

Join us for Wolfe & Kron Books "NO ASSIGNED READING" Book Club! At the Asynchronous Book Club it's all about your BIR - that's "Books I've Read" - rather than assigning you homework to do just to be part of a community.
How does it work? You show up, write down 3-5 books you've read on a notecard, then Wolfe & Kron Books sorts everyone into groups based on where their BIRs overlap. You pass around your notecards and talk about the books you have in common, or maybe ones you hadn't heard of. The one danger is you might wind up with more books on your TBR - "To Be Read"
This event is FREE but we do ask you to support our host Beach Bee and always tip your bartender.
