The Creative Arts Center proudly showcases the work of our talented students and instructors who participate in a variety of fine arts and craft classes throughout the year. Original pieces created by our students and instructors includes paintings photography, jewelry, pottery, and more!

Creative Change Makers is an annual Open Call to Artists, grades 9-12, seeking to submit work inspired by the theme that year, in literary, visual, or performing arts. Students may submit as an INDIVIDUAL ARTIST, COLLABORATIVE GROUP (2-4) artists, or COMMUNITY ARTS ADVOCATES (5-9) artists.

This year’s Open Call category is Sustainable Arts: Creating with Consciousness.

We invite artists to submit visual, performing or literary based works that explore the theme of sustainable art, emphasizing on messages that focus on environmental issues and how they are impacting animal ecosystems, our health, our communities, and our futures. Artists are asked to highlight the power of creativity in promoting sustainability and reimagining our relationship with the planet.

This Open Call to Artists will result in a group art exhibition in the Spring of 2026. The exhibition will feature visual artwork; painting, sculpture, installation, etc. There will also be a video screen on display, featuring recorded performing art pieces, spoken word, and documentation of projects. The art exhibition will have an opening reception, inviting participating artists, schools and families to attend. Performing artists will be invited to perform onsite. We will host at least one additional artist talk, panel discussion, additional live performance event, or workshop with participating schools, organizations and students during the exhibition.

The exhibition, and all events corresponding with it, are free and open to the public.

**Teen Arts NJ will select an Individual Artist from each of the following categories: literary, visual, and performing arts, showing exceptional skill and creativity in their medium to receive a $500 Honorarium

***Collaborative Groups and Community Arts Advocates can earn a stipend to the school arts department or art related club of their choice for $1,000

Come share your musical passions at Belmar Art Center's Weekly Open Mic and Music Workshop!

Every Tuesday, sign-ups start at 7pm.

Attention songwriters and musicians, a new open mic is town. We have been facilitating a Tuesday WEEKLY open mic and workshop, every TUESDAY for artists to hone and share their amazingness and receive feedback for over 3 years now!

If you wish to share an original of yours, awesome. If you want to play a cover, great. You may want to just share an idea with a band to see what it sounds like. That's great. This open mic is designed for collaborators and experimentalist alike, to try new things, and be open to different possibilities. Join our hosts multi-instrumentalist Andy Demos & singer, song writer, guitarist Alex Sanders every Tuesday Night.

Free for BAC Members ($35/year membership fee)
$5 donation for non-members

This is an adaptation of the classic film, presented as a live radio play. The story follows George Bailey as he considers his life in a small town on Christmas Eve after his Uncle misplaces $8000 from their business. This production features 10 actors playing many of the lovable characters of Bedford Falls. A foley sound effects artist also helps paint a sound picture of this heartwarming story about faith, love, determination and redemption! Don't miss this unique and loving retelling of a timeless story!
