  • Your Radio Daddy, host of FM Flashback, wasn’t born so much as he fell out. A member of the on-air staff at WBJB-FM in various guises since 1992, he has been described by his personal trainer and political advisor Peter J. Lyden III as having “a mind like a sink trap… and a heart as big as the whole outdoors, even if it is made of pure marzipan.” He lives in a red house over yonder with Mrs. Daddy, Your Radio Sonny, and Uma Thurman, plus approximately 20,000 pieces of recorded music on assorted playback media. Sometimes he can even find the one he wants to listen to.
  • I’ve been on air at Brookdale Public Radio since 2002 and have loved every minute of it! I like to keep listeners updated on upcoming community events and activities, especially where music is the focus because music helps people connect. One of the great things about The night is that our music library is chock full of music from so many genres and artists. I love how different songs elicit memories, put a smile across your face, create a mood, or just help you get through the day. Music is so many things to so many people and I get to push play. How cool is that!?
  • Sean Carolan started playing challenging rock on the radio in 1982, at New Brunswick’s WRSU and Melody Bar, and at WHTG FM 106.3 through 1992. He started Altrok as a web station in 2000, and successfully infected 90.5 The Night with it starting in 2005. Not surprisingly, he’s also helping to run sister station Altrok Radio where plenty of amiably disconcerting tracks play 24/7. His wife and kids are pretty sure he’s around somewhere.
  • Stu Coogan (Evening Host 7p-11p) is closing in on becoming a 20 year veteran of the radio airwaves. 2After 22 years on the business side of the communications industry, he gives hope to all those who make the move to change careers in midstream. “Stu Coo” used buyout money from his prior employment to attend Brookdale Community College which provided a path to his true love “Radioland” !
  • I’m your traffic and weather girl 4-7 pm, Monday through Friday. You can also catch me on the overnights; 12 am until 6 am Thursday & Friday. During my time on air, you’ll hear a lot of great tunes, like Frank Turner and Jason Isbell and killer local bands you’ve probably seen around town.
  • Jeff began his career on Jersey Shore radio in 1988 at influential alternative station WHTG-FM (FM106.3) producing and hosting the new music show called “The Underground” for most of that time. Since 2001 he has been a full-time host and Music Director at WBJB-FM (90.5 The NIGHT). He won “Top Radio Personality” at the Asbury Music Awards the first two years of the category.
  • I’ve had my dream job of waking up with all the great listeners and members of Brookdale Public Radio since January 3, 2005. Prior to this job, I began my career in radio at NJ 101.5 FM as a producer. From there, I took time off from radio to do other things. (including becoming a mom!)
  • The Detroit Pistons narrowly avoided a 29th consecutive loss on Saturday night, claiming victory over the Toronto Raptors with a score of 129-127.
  • The singer and actor's lawsuit against Nigel Lythgoe is the latest in a string of high-profile cases filed right before portions of California's Sexual Abuse and Cover Up Accountability Act expire.
  • It's harder to build a New Year's playlist than it is for other winter holidays. NPR has some tips on finding the right music to ring in the new year.
