Join us each Monday evening for our Jazz Arts Jam Sessions! This event is always free to attend and exciting to experience. We always have a professional house band, and we invite top pro jazz artists as well as our current students, alumni, faculty, and friends to sit in. We come together for a night of celebration, music, and pure jazz joy. It’s a chance to reconnect, reminisce, and make new memories while sharing the stage and celebrating the spirit of jazz. Bring your instruments to sit in or bring your ears to listen to some great music. This is a free music event with great food, craft beer, and cocktails available for purchase.

Join us as we celebrate the musical legacy of New Brunswick’s own James P. Johnson, who penned the ‘Charleston,’ the defining song and dance of the 1920s. Swing and sway to the signature jazz melodies of Michael Arenella & His Dreamland Orchestra, the world’s premier Jazz-Age dance orchestra, and learn to cut a rug with dance lessons from The Canarsie Wobblers. The day will also feature a vintage DJ playing records from the early 1900s to the 1930s on wind-up phonographs with a “special appearance” by an Orthophonic Victrola.

Come share your musical passions at Belmar Art Center's Weekly Open Mic and Music Workshop! Every Tuesday, sign-ups start at 7pm.
Attention songwriters and musicians, a new open mic is town. In addition to the monthly open mic we have, we are facilitating a WEEKLY open mic and workshop, every TUESDAY for artists to hone and share their amazingness and receive feedback. If you wish to share an original of yours, awesome. If you want to play a cover, great. You may want to just share an idea with a band to see what it sounds like. That's great. This open mic is designed for collaborators and experimentalist alike, to try new things, and be open to different possibilities. Join Multi-Instrumentalist Andy Demos every Tuesday Night.
