NJ expecting some impact from Hurricane Earl
Forecasters believe New Jersey will be spared a direct encounter with Hurricane Earl. But they are expecting the massive storm to cause very rough surf, dangerous rip currents and some coastal flooding as it passes by to the east, most likely on Friday. The National Weather Service on Wednesday issued a tropical storm warning for southern coastal areas of New Jersey. The weather service says tropical force winds of more than 40 mph are likely along the coast on Friday.
