THE KILLERS LEARN TO CURTAIL THE PARTYING

NEW YORK (AP) – Brandon Flowers of The Killers has learned when he stopped trying to act like a rock star, he became a better rock star. Flowers says they wanted to live the rock star lifestyle like Led Zeppelin and David Bowie used to, but that’s over now. He says, “When we got away from cliches, our shows started really getting better.” He says they dropped the partying because people came to see a well-rehearsed band. That doesn’t mean The Killers are good boys all the time. He says they smartened up and are more selective when they’re going to paint the town red.
