Mason Jennings – Blood of Man

Mason Jennings’ new album, Blood Of Man, is his first “electric” album but he’s not lost a step by plugging in his guitar as this album shows off his great delivery and his dark yet palatable lyrics. The fact that this album has more of an electric feel helps get across the topics that Jennings talk about in the album (war, heartbreak etc) in a very raw, yet great sounding album.

The lyrics are very moody, very standard for a Mason Jennings album but what draws fans to Jennings is his sheer talent that he has for making music.

The fact that he played all of the instruments on the album also helps give the album the folksy yet bluesy sound that it has. Blood Of Man is an album that you should check out and will not regret getting. ***3/4
