Wake Being Held Thursday For Slain NJ Detective
Law enforcement officers from around New Jersey were expected to gather in Jersey City on Thursday to mourn a colleague mortally wounded in a shootout.
Detective Marc A. DiNardo, a 10-year veteran of the Jersey City force, was pronounced dead Tuesday, one day before his 38th birthday.
The married father of three young children was shot in the face during a July 16 gun battle with two armed robbery suspects. Both suspects were killed in the shootout, which left several other officers wounded.
DiNardo’s wake will be held from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the McLaughlin Funeral Home. His funeral will be held Friday at St. Aeden’s Church.
