No Injuries When Small Plane Crashes In NJ
Mechanical problems apparently caused a small plane to crash Saturday in central New Jersey, but no injuries were reported.
Two people were aboard the fixed wing, single-engine Cessna CO-172 when it came down around 11 a.m. in a field in Rocky Hill, about a quarter mile from Princeton Airport.
The plane was registered to a Hunterdon County couple, but it was unclear whether they were the people on board.
Jim Peters, a Federal Aviation Administration spokesman, said the plane reportedly experienced engine power failure shortly before it came down. However, it was not immediately known if the plane was headed to Princeton Airport or another facility.
