ATTORNEY SAYS JAMES BROWN WAS BOY’S FATHER
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) – An attorney says the 6-year-old boy believed to be James Brown’s son is indeed his son. Peter Shahid, the attorney for little James Brown II, says the boy had a DNA test in April, before a South Carolina judge ordered a paternity test. The boy’s mother, Tomi (TAH’-mee) Rae Hynie, has said she is Brown’s widow. There has been some question that Hynie wasn’t actually married to Brown when he died and that the boy was not Brown’s son. They are not mentioned in Brown’s will. The results of the court-ordered test have not been released.
