BON JOVI WANTS COFFEE DRINK TO CHANGE NAME

MANCHESTER, N.J. (AP) – Jon Bon Jovi is upset over an energy drink. The coffee-based drink is called Mijovi, and Bon Jovi says that’s too similar to his name. Bon Jovi also objects to the phrase on the can “itsmienergy.itsmijovi.itsmilife,” because “It’s My Life” is the name of one of the big Bon Jovi songs. His lawyer has sent a cease-and-desist letter to creator Marcos Carrington, who says he named the drink after his girlfriend, Jovita. Carrington tells the Asbury Park Press it’s just unfair because Mijovi has nothing to do with Bon Jovi. Carrington says he’s willing to stop using “itsmilife” on cans once he uses up the inventory of three-thousand cans, but he’s keeping the name Mijovi.
