NOTES FROM TOM
We are closing in our Fall Membership Drive, which starts on November 1st. This drive will be only the second drive that we are offering “Live At The NIGHT Volume 3?, but remember supplies are limited. At the rate the discs are getting shipped out to members, we may see them gone by the end of the year.
You’ll want to make sure you get your hands on the third installment of the “Live At The NIGHT†series. This edition includes cuts from Bruce Springsteen, The Indigo Girls, Suzanne Vega, Alexi Murdoch, and many others. In the next few days we’ll be spinning these songs as a not-so-subtle reminder that this collection is just for the members of the station.
We use items like “Live At The NIGHT Volume 3? to encourage you to either renew your membership or become a member for the first time. We work hard everyday to bring you the best radio around. Your membership ensures that we continue to bring you the best local radio in Monmouth and Ocean County. Please pledge whenever and whatever you can to help us out.

ALBUM OF THE MONTH
ROBERT RANDOLPH & THE FAMILY BAND Colorblind Warner Bros.
Finally, the follow-up to “Unclassified†is here. Robert Randolph & The Family Band’s second major label release “Colorblind†has just been released. The New Jersey native and his Family Band have been doing a lot of touring in the interim and Robert has made guest appearances on more albums than I can recall right now. But the new album was certainly worth the wait. You’ve already heard the feel-good anthem of the year “Thrill Of It†on 90.5 The NIGHT as well as all over ABC TV during it’s Saturday college football broadcasts. “Colorblind†boasts a couple special guests of it’s own Eric Clapton and Dave Matthews. The album features more of what you’ve hopefully come to expect; brilliant pedal steel guitar playing from Robert, blazing back up from the Family Band, and some of the most uplifting and dare I say it? – spiritual lyrics in rock and roll. Besides “Thrill Of It†there are standout tracks like “Ain’t Nothing Wrong With That,†“Deliver Me,†“Diane,†and “Homecoming.†There’s even a cover (with Clapton) of the classic “Jesus Is Just Alright.â€
