DESCRIPTION:The legendary Marshall Tucker Band and guests will be ROCKIN' the Stone Pony on June 16\, 2013 in a benefit concert for Spirit of a Child Foundation. To help fund the 2013 Parent-Child Project and future projects\, as well as bring business to the local economy of the hurricane savaged Jersey Shore\, Spirit of a Child Foundation is excited to announce a benefit concert at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park\, NJ on June 16 at 6:00 pm. The Stone Pony\, a world famous music venue\, is known as a starting point for many musicians\, including New Jersey natives Bruce Springsteen\, Patti Scialfa\, Jon Bon Jovi\, and Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes. This concert provides a unique opportunity to not only help Spirit of a Child Foundation but also provide a continued boost to a region in the midst of rebuilding from Hurricane Sandy. The concert is expected to draw more than 800 attendees and more than 20 sponsors of different levels. The headline celebrity band is the Marshall Tucker Band and the opening performing artists are Donovan Chapman and Band\, and The Nick Clemons Band.
