A symposium presented by the T. Thomas Fortune House Preservation Project. Fortune, a 19th and 20th century editor, publisher and author, lived in Red Bank over 100 years ago. He was staunch defender of human and civil rights for both African Americans and other marginalized people. The day will begin with a continental breakfast, followed by a panel discussion, featuring Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Les Payne. The keynote address will be delivered by, Walter Greason, History Professor at Monmouth University.
