Dedicated to supporting local artists and art educators, The Collective Art Tank, headquartered on Bangs Avenue in Asbury Park, today announced a new program to encourage New Jersey's art community to propose project and exhibition concepts at the collaborative space. As this new call-to-action is released, The Collective Art Tank is pleased to have been approached by Steve Herold, director of the short film "Asburied," to host two free screenings of his film followed by a reception at The Collective Art Tank on Saturday, March 29. Kicking off at 6:00 p.m., followed by a second screening at 7:00 p.m., Herold's film will document Asbury Park and showcase the city's ongoing transformation since the early 2000s. "Steve contacted me regarding a film screening of 'Asburied' and I thought it would make for a great collaboration for our space," stated John Viggiano, the director of The Collective Art Tank. "I encourage all artists to reach out with ideas and concepts that we can help bring to fruition at The Collective Art Tank. We are excited for opportunities to collaborate with the artistic community that is so prominent in our region." As a collaborative space, like-minded artists are encouraged to approach The Collective Art Tank to propose projects. The venue's presence in Asbury Park aims to support and promote the city as a premier destination to experience the creative talents of New Jersey's arts community.
