The Long Branch Free Public Library, partnered with the Long Branch Historical Society, invites you to attend a program on Wednesday, March 26th at 7pm to learn more about this topic. Lorraine Stone, actress and Black History advocate, will speak about the efforts to preserve the Red Bank home of Mr. Fortune, an influential Black publisher, writer, civil rights organizer, and the man who coined the term "African-American." His former home is a National Historic Landmark in dire need of preservation. Light refreshments will be served. This program is free and open to the public. All are welcome. Please join us in the Community Meeting Room of the Main Library at 7pm.
