Lakehouse Music Academy is excited to announce their first student showcase at The Wonder Bar on June 22, from 4-7pm. Each of the performance groups -- with students of all ages -- will perform songs from The White Stripes, Bruno Mars, Tom Petty, Adele, Neon Trees, Social Distortion, The Eagles and more. "Students in the Get Started and Core programs will show what they've been learning over the last few months, and it'll be so cool to see the students rock out and sing their hearts out," says Juan O'Grady, LHMA General Manager. Come support their end-of-semester performance! Admission is FREE and the general public is invited. Lakehouse Music Academy opened its doors earlier this year, with seven practice rooms and a large, multi-purpose classroom complete with a stage. "Enrollment has been very strong in the months since we've opened. We plan to add additional class times very soon. The positive reaction we've received from parents -- and of course, the kids -- is just amazing," says Albie Monterrosa, LHMA Music Director. For school-aged kids, LHMA is also offering three summer camp programs. The first session, July 8-12, focuses on Musical Theatre (Broadway choreography and acting through song-lyric). The week-long LivePerformance Camp will take place during two sessions, from July 15-19 and August 19-23; campers will decide on the musical content for the week, learn the material, and end the week with a rocking performance! Finally, from July 29-August 9 is LHMA's two-week Songwriting and Recording Camp. Under the tutelage of two nationally-known recording artists, campers will write and record their very own original songs. Enrollment for these exciting camp weeks is happening right now, or parents can register at the Student Showcase at The Wonder Bar (June 22)!
