The Middletown Township Public Library will host an open forum on living with dementia & Alzheimers on Saturday, May 11, 2013, beginning at 1 p.m. Tracey Wolfman, RN, will provide an overview of dementia, how it effects individuals and families, and offer tips/resources. Local author Kerry Luksic will share her personal experience with Alzheimer's, read excerpts from her book, and share insights on how this disease affected both her mother and the entire family--and most of all, how they learned to find the blessings in such a difficult illness. Copies of Luksic's book, Life Lessons from a Baker's Dozen: 1 Mother, 13 Children, and their Journey to Peace with Alzheimer's, will also be available for purchase and signing. This will be a casual/open forum event. The audience is encouraged to ask questions. All are welcome; no registration is required.
