May Artist's Reception: Robert Wille

Middletown Township Public Library

55 New Monmouth Road
Middletown, NJ 07748

The Middletown Township Public Library will host a reception for May artist Robert Wille on Saturday, May 4, 2013, beginning at 2 p.m. Bob's interest in art began in New York, where his uncle Warren was a talented portrait painter. His parents gave him a Jon Gnagy art set for Christmas and he has been painting ever since. He studied painting privately with Fred Sklenar, Sr. and Arthur Ludov. He received his formal art education at The High School of Art and Design and Pratt Institute. The subjects of his painting are varied. "It's just a matter of exploration", he says. "I know I want to paint a scene when its bright colors and the colors of the light just draw me in". In addition to painting, Bob pursues a wide variety of artistic endeavors; most recently he completed a series of sculptures made of nails, both abstract and realistic. Bob's work has been exhibited in galleries and shows in New York, New Jersey, and Utah. Recently, he's had solo shows in many Monmouth County libraries and The Monmouth Beach Cultural Center.
