Starring actress Michèle LaRue as an unlikely heroine, an elderly spinster taken for granted by her New England family. Although unskilled, Aunt Mehetabel is "clever in the way of patching bedquilts." The suspenseful story traces her evolving enfranchisement through her art, as over five years she devotes herself to the realization of her ideas.
