In this memorable concert, Grace Cosgrove performs from her new album of Laura Nyro songs, "To Laura with Love." Laura Nyro was a singer-songwriter in the 60's and 70's whose early albums melded pop, jazz, R&B, gospel, and Broadway influences to create an original sound. A few of her most famous songs were: "Wedding Bell Blues", "Eli's Coming", "And When I Die" and "Stoned Soul Picnic". Cosgrove is accompanied by musical director and pianist Don Rebic, who has played for singers including Peggy Lee, Barbara Cook, Leslie Uggams and Dame Kiri Te Kawana. Cosgrove has been featured at the Metropolitan Room and in numerous cabarets in New York City. The New York Post described her recent performance as "Absolutely mesmerizing . . . Her unique presence is challenging, intelligent and enormously entertaining."
