GIANTS OF THE BAROQUE Department of Music and Theatre Arts Spring Concert Thursday, April 18, 2013 7:30 p.m. Pollak Theatre The music of the three giants of the 18th century High Baroque period will be offered including Johann Sebastian Bach's Orchestra Suite #2 in B minor and the monumental Double Violin Concerto in D minor, Antonio Vivaldi's Gloria, and arias by George Frederic Handel. Monmouth University's orchestra, choirs, and distinguished soloists will be under the direction of Professor Ron Frangipane and Dr. David Tripold. This is the only venue known to us where major works for orchestra, choir, and soloists can all be heard in one concert.
