Take a short journey to the best summer reads and add to your reading stash at the German School of Monmouth County's English-language Bonanza Book Sale on Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Following the sale, BYOBC - bring your own beach chair to watch The World Cup: Germany vs. Ghana, on a large screen.
The school, located at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 112 Middletown Road, Holmdel, NJ 07733, kicks off the summer with a selection of more than 1,000 books from romance novels, bestsellers, mysteries, classics, children's favorites, as well as a variety of history, travel and coffee table books.
Books range in price from $.25 to $5.00 and will be organized by genre including: art and art history, historical fiction, bestsellers, mystery, romance, classics, children's, science and technology, among others.
"We recently received a very generous donation from ardent collectors Diane and Ernie Koenig, who have relocated and wanted to give their large holdings to a worthy cause," said Parent Volunteer Gudrun Ronan, whose daughter attends the school. "The treasure trove of books is truly breathtaking, with something for everyone, children and adults, including every type of novel, as well as coffee style books with gorgeous photography that make great gifts."
Authors included range from classics such as Charles Dickens to bestsellers, John Grisham, Danielle Steele, Stuart Wood, and more. Proceeds from the sale benefit the German School of Monmouth County's multi-media German library and classroom enrichment programs.
