Little Silver: The Red Bank Regional (RBR) Education Foundation presents its Fourth Annual Sunday Showcase on Sunday, February 23, 2014, at 3:00 pm at the high school located at 101 Ridge Road in Little Silver. This year's show features the return of the inimitable Tim McLoone & the Shirleys with special guest appearance by Rock 'n Roll Hall of Famer and former member of the Drifters, Ben E. King. Mr. King may be best known as the co-composer and singer of "Stand By Me." His other popular favorites include "Under the Boardwalk", "Spanish Harlem" and "Save the Last Dance for Me." The performance will also showcase the talents of the RBR Visual & Performing Arts Academy students. The Jazz Band from Markham Place School in Little Silver will also perform. For tickets, visit the RBR website at www.rbr.org. Adult General Admission is $20; student, staff, and senior admission is $10; reserved "King Circle" seating is $40. All proceeds from the event will fund the RBREF mission of providing grants to support a wide range of educational enrichment, much of which is not included in an increasingly tight school budget. Since 2008, the Education Foundation has put to work more than $100,000 in the classrooms of Red Bank Regional High School with all money raised used to directly enhance education at RBR.
