Two River Theater Co.

21 Bridge Avenue
Red Bank, NJ 07701

Filmmaker Jack Ballo's "Destiny's Bridge" chronicles the 7 yr old homeless encampment in the woods of Lakewood, NJ known as Tent City;its clashes with the town of Lakewood trying to evict residents and destroy the camp, and residents talking about their lives. Based on his experiences with Tent City, founder Minister Steve Brigham tells the story of his mission to provide for the homeless and his new vision of a permanent, self-sustaining mini community where homeless people can live with dignity and receive the rehabilitative help they need. His vision is called "Destiny's Bridge." Destiny's Bridge has become a movement, a 501(c)3 organization for the purpose of creating such a community which would be a model for easing the problem of homelessness everywhere. After the 78 minute long film that has been called beautiful and poetic, there will be a Q&A featuring filmmaker Ballo, Minister Steve, and 3 TC residents featured in the film. Join us for pics on the Red Carpet, and refreshments.
