It was the summer home of seven different presidents, a center for farming and for commercial fishing for many years, a tourist destination and a commuting suburb. Monmouth County history has long been a favorite topic for historians and authors. On Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 7:30 pm, Middletown Township Public Library will present a panel of four prominent local historians. Randall Gabrielan will lead a discussion with Joseph Bilby, George Joynson, and John King. With more than 40 published books among them, these four authors will offer insights into many different areas of writing and publishing, from choosing and researching a subject to finding a publisher and picking a cover. Before and after the discussion, authors will sell and sign their books, just in time for holiday giving.
