Climate change, super storms, rising sea levels, large-scale pollution—do these problems seem large, looming, intractable? If you’re feel vulnerable, dis-empowered, or burnt-out, you’re not alone: eco-anxiety, climate grief, and other climate feelings are shared by many people who are paying attention to the climate crisis. Addressing these heavy feelings in community can be a way of generating the personal resilience needed to cope with an uncertain future. Waterspirit hosts and online eco-anxiety peer support group using the Good Grief Network’s “10 Steps to Personal Resilience and Empowerment in a Chaotic Climate” method. New this year, in place of the Lobster Run we are excited to invite you to our first annual Lobster Ball. At the Lobster Ball, party goers can still support the Littoral Society’s coastal conservation work while dancing the night away. Held at Whitechapel Projects in Long Branch, NJ, the event will feature food, drinks, marine animal costume contest, face painting, and a live band, in addition to short informational talks with Littoral Society staff. Throw on your sea creature-themed costume and swim on over, we look forward to sharing a night of fun, fins and fluke.

The musical 'Guys & Dolls' was based on Runyon stories and characters. In this episode, Dave the Dude helps a destitute woman impress her estranged daughter. Dr. Tweedy starred Frank Morgan (Wizard of Oz), in this episode, Tweedy plays cupid for a lonely lady farmer searching for a farmhand/husband! Don't miss these hilarious and touching stories told as radio plays, with Foley sound effects and talented voice actors! Tickets are only $15 and all proceeds benefit Cross of Glory.
